Training

Chestnut Hill Farm is developing horses and riders by teaching a solid foundation with skills and technique that build confidence and ability.  We are staffed with an excellent team with the knowledge and ability to teach Beginners through Grand Prix level riders.

We specialize in Hunters, Jumpers and Equitation and customize the training program to meet your specific goals and needs. Professional training rides are available and the opportunity to travel and compete at shows is open to all students.

Kyle Dewar  |  Head Trainer

Kyle is a proven professional from Canada with many top placings in both Hunters and Jumpers
in Canada, the U.S. and Europe. He works with both green horses and seasoned competitors to bring out the best of their abilities and takes the show team to A-circuit shows throughout the country. Kyle teams up with Olympian Bruce Goodin to take his upper level mounts to the next stage in their show careers.

Kathy Frame-Dewar  |  Head Trainer

Kathy has had incredible success in both the Hunters and Jumpers throughout her lifetime as a rider. Her skills and experience began early in the training program of four-time Olympian, Laura Kraut. Kathy now trains with Olympian Bruce Goodin and has numerous top ribbons and wins in the professional Hunters, high-performance Hunter Derby and Grand Prix rings.

Chestnut Hill riders at our Wisconsin facility are supported by Mark McKone.

Chestnut Hill regularly hosts Bruce Goodin from Europe throughout the year to fine-tune the skills of CHF students and trainers with the idea that high levels of training and experience make successful and valuable equine partnerships.
